Downloads page is misleading about mplayer

Postby khanc » Sun Jun 10, 2012 2:08 pm

On the smplayer downloads page (http://smplayer.sourceforge.net/downloads.php), the -webdl.exe mentions "a recent version of mplayer will be downloaded", whereas the -win32.exe mentions "a mplayer build". The obvious inference is that the -webdl.exe will download a more recent version, however the truth is it downloads a much earlier version. So my questions/concerns are:

1. Can the downloads page be fixed to make it more obvious that the -webdl.exe has an old version?

2. Is there a way to get smplayer bundled with the *most* recent version of mplayer, but be able to choose what it installs. In other words, I want something like the -webdl.exe but with the most recent mplayer version.

Thank you.
