Unable to move smplayer windows past screen edge

Sometimes I need to move the playlist or the play window past the screen edge
of whatever window manager I am using (currently Mate) on FC20.
I find that smplayer will not let me push part of an smplayer window, such
as the playlist or the main player window past the display edge.
Other apps allow me to do that. Cases in point:
firefox and other browsers, the gnome terminal, vlc, ...etc...
Please fix smplayer to allow pushing (moving) it's windows past the display edge.
