Every time I boot my computer I am hit with this annoying message saying that there may (but most likely is not) an update available for MPlayer. If there actually was an update available, I would find the notice informative and welcomed. However, there rarely is an update, therefore it is just something to have to clear off my screen before I can do something productive. I love MPlayer, you have created a superb program. I'm sure there is a way to shut this notice off but I have wasted far too much time trying to find it.

Boy have I got egg on my face. You were right. I didn't even realize that program was on my computer. Thanks for your help and apologies for the inconvenience
