New SMTube: first public version

i know this be pain but
here some choices

1you could search find file
OPEN in browser then download w net video hunter or down them all through firefox ADD ONS
bit annoying since then you have open FIREFOX browser to do it
OR
2 if a program like atube catcher is a basic copy paste url to download ON DESKTOP
if the developer fixes a new version when ever that is with it broken you cand search dl anything
all i have to do is copy url to atube catcher and download as usual
it has a download and mp3 search/down-loader built in
then you dont need to mess w opening up firefox

Thank you for your explanations. I understand now why you had to change all SMTube.

Regarding, AmigaOS, i will retry to USE_PLAYER to be able to add a wget option.

Your latest revision with quality choice works very well

"USE_PLAYER" works now on OS4.
I have added at initialisation 2 Players for Amiga
1) PlayVideo.rexx to stream with MPlayer
2) DownloadVideo.rexx to ask for destination filename and download via curl or wget.

Trying to call SMTube with a URL as argument failed.

In v15.1 it worked, but now it issue a 403 error.
"-url" switch doesn't seems to work too, no response.

i get that alligator thing when i copy paste in urls in SEARCH too

It seems hostgator doesn't allow "http://" or "https://" in the parameters of the URL for security reasons. If you enter the URL without "http://" or "https://" it works. In smtube r6922 it checks the search term and remove the "http://" and "https://" so you can enter the URL from command line.

But it still may fail if you enter a URL with "http://" or "https://" in the search field.

I've just uploaded a new package for Windows (smtube-15.5.7.6923-win32.exe), link in the first post.
This version includes a configuration dialog, where you can add other players.

Some examples to configure a new player:

VLC:
Name: VLC
Executable: C:/Program Files/VideoLAN/VLC/vlc.exe
Parameters: %u
This player supports video sites: checked

(download manager, allows to download the videos):
Name: uget
Executable: C:/Users/<user>/uget/bin/uget.exe
Parameters: --filename=%f %u
This player supports video sites: unchecked

(the Windows version of uget crashes if I use the --quiet option)

i think i grabbed 32 by mistake it installs but asks for a folder and doesn't launch
