Getting SMPlayer To See External DVD

I have a PC with bad internal DVD player, so have connected an external USB DVD. I'm wanting SMPlayer to play DVD's via the external one, but does not show up in SMPLayer.

In Preferences -> Drives you can enter the name of the DVD device.
