unable to retrieve youtube page

it keeps saying unable to retrieve youtube page. I installed new sound driver, then get no audio, then did system restore to fix it, then keep getting bluescreen, then to fix the bluescreen I did a clean reinstall of video driver, then it fixed the bluescreen. now I keep getting unable to receive youtube page, I have to run a registry repair tool to fix it but the error keeps coming back over and over? how to fix? I hope you mods and admins will be able to help me fix this. how to fix?

I've experienced problems with Youtube recently. From time to time Youtube returns a https url which mplayer can't play.
I think I found a workaround, it's available in smplayer svn r6300, so you'll need to update.

About the audio problem, I don't know, try to select another audio output in Preferences -> General -> Audio.
