Running mplayer inside the main smplayer window

Hi:

I'm running the RC4 version of MPlayer on OpenSUSE 11.3 with smplayer 0.6.9. Since upgrading from mplayer RC2, I've noticed that I'm unable to run the MPlayer window within the smplayer window. The video is translucent and skews based on the background window it is hovering over. If I click in the advanced window video settings to run MPlayer in its own window, it works OK, however you lose the pause, advance, vol slider options when in full screen.

Is this a known issue? btw, running NVidia 256.35 driver on an NVidia 7950GT card.
