Hello
I am new to SMplayer 15.9.0, installed it about 45 mins ago vie the Ubuntu PPA.
I use Satellite TV and for that I run Kaffeine. Is SMPlayer able to read the data from the satellite? In other words, can SMPlayer replace Kaffeine? I use also smart card (Viaccess) to descramble Swiss TV.

SMPlayer can read the channels from ~/.mplayer/channels.conf (it will add the channels to the Open -> TV menu).

Hi
After reading the linked text, I decided not to pursue satellite TV on smplayer. It is too complicated and would finally be rather inferior than Kaffeine.
However, perhaps SMplayer will be updated at a later date, and I can review my decision.
