takes 20-30 sec to start a video every time

SMPlayer has taken 20 - 30 sec to start a video for more than a month.
A message "Scanning file C:\Windows\fonts\DejaVuSeri ... " has been shown on the status bar.

The videos I play are downloaded and saved from YouTube, Dailymotion and Pandora.

Old SMPlayer-15.9.0.0000-x64 can start a video quickly with no problem.

Try this:

Close SMPlayer. Go to Start - Run (or press the Windows key and R together), type and run:

%LOCALAPPDATA%

and delete the folder called fontconfig. It should only have to rerun the scan once.
