Load edl file from the movie directory (-edl flag)

Hello:
One question (sorry, I am a beginner):
I have find out that it is possible to load an edl file to skip some parts of the movie (adding an -edl flag in the settings and the path to the edl file). Is it possible to set a path of the edl file in that way that the player loads the edl file automatically from the movie directory?

Example: I want to play a movie file in this directory: c:\movies\sicario\sicario.mkv
If there is in the folder c:\movies\sicario\ an edl file (called 'skip_scenes.edl', doesn't matter..), the player would load it automatically.

It would be very useful because now I have to copy the edl file to one exact directory, always the same...

If the edl file has the same name of the video (in your example: c:\movies\sicario\sicario.edl) then SMPlayer will load the edl automatically.

However this only works when using mplayer as multimedia engine.
