use mpv scripts that have own shortcuts

Postby Saku123 » Mon Sep 21, 2020 11:10 pm

I've been racking my brain around this for a good three days now, normal scripts work, but ones that have their own shortcuts don't. I know the script itself work cuz it did when i turned "launch mpv/mplayer separately" on, I also tried using "xdotools" to send the keys directly to mpv, but that didn't work since its embeded in smplayer and i rather have it that way, it looks better and seems like the way smplayer was meant to be used. Any solutions or ideas?

summary
Problem: mpv scripts that need shortcuts dont work
what i tried: sending key presses through the terminal (specifically xdotools, AHK would be the windows equivalent)

When the mpv video window is embedded into smplayer, smplayer doesn't pass the keystrockes to mpv. It would be a mess.

any way to still do it though? celluloid has a "add plugins" feature where it just allows the keys that are needed. Something like that would be cool.
