Playlist with opening and closing after each video

I have a playlist that goes in this type of format
OPENING
Eps.1
Closing
Opening
Eps.2
Closing
so on so forth.
but SM Player takes this and makes all the openings and closings one. (at the very end you get the opening and closing after all eps play)
I cant seem to find an easy way to fix this, it does not seem to allow a file to appear more than once in a playlist. the only thing I can think of doing is taking the opening and closing and duplicating them (25 times)
Is there a better way to fix thin or anything I can do? The playlist is one I made and does work in other media players.
I am using Ubuntu 11.04 And am trying this because Banshee hase a white triangle covering part of my video and it distracts me, VLC continuously plays the first minute of the video like a broken record (selectivly does this to videos, ex. eps 1 and two but not 3)and the default movie player (which I think is called movie player) does not keep the audio and video in sync.And Dragon refuses to play it.
(attempting to remove alternitives I have tried, though one may be able to tell me a fix for them as well that I have not found)

Duplicated files are not allowed in playlists because they cause problems.
