How to use SMPLayer with MPlayer2?

My subnotebook is too slow to play HD videos smoothly with MPlayer1. Could someone explain to me what I have to do to run SMPlayer with MPLayer2? My OS is Windows 7 x64. Thank you!

Thank you for your help! 
I use "threads for decoding: 1" (default) because 2 or more didn't let me start some videos.
Also, many videos now don't have any sound. Switching the output driver (Preferences / General Audio / Output driver) to another one helps. But it has to be done every time after playing a new video... :/
