Disable turning screen off SMplayer

Hi,

I do not use a screensaver but my screen is turned off after a few minutes on my Ubuntu 12.10 Lenovo Thinkpad laptop. When I set Movie Player (Totem) to disable screensaver the screen isn't turned off as long as a movie is playing, but with SMplayer the screen is turned off even with the disable screensaver set. Is it possible to get SMplayer to work like Movie Player so that the screen isn't turned off when movies are being played? I guess Movie Player also disables power management while it's playing, so if I could find out how to get SMplayer to do that I would be good.

Under linux smplayer just passes the option -stop-xscreensaver to mplayer, and it seems to work well on ubuntu 12.04 with the gnome-screensaver. I'll test it on ubuntu 12.10 and I'll try to find a solution.
