Dear ladies and gentlemen,
it is really cumbersome, to get File Association by Windows. After having uninstalled VLC Media-Player i have to add every single video file type?
It would be great to get this within the options like other programs do. Or have I overlooked something?

Apart from that a powerful program, thank you.
Best regards
Frank

Hello, Frank!
You can set file associations in the File Types section in Preferences. You can press Select All and then check out the pins for types you don't need to be associated with SMPlayer. The others will be associated.

There seems to be a bug in version 18.6.0 (32) under Windows 10. Almost all of the file associations are checked and grayed out, indicating that any attempt to associate SMPlayer with any filetype will force an association with most of the other file types. This would be so inconvenient that the file association page is useless. I will have to force Windows to associate with each type I wish, individually. Please fix bugs.

You can choose SMPlayer as default video player in the Windows 10 settings.

As the OP said, that would be quite inconvenient for many users. Please fix the bugs.
