Posted: Mon Sep 17, 2018 8:11 pmThanks for the attention. I do have that selected. But that doesn't auto-play the srt. My process: start video in SMP, use SMP to download from OpenSubs. Up until a few months ago that's all I needed to do. But now I have to Load the sub, then select Closed Caps=1, and then the srt will play.

Could you send the mplayer/mpv log (menu View) after trying to play a video with this problem?

Posted: Thu Sep 20, 2018 6:04 pmThe log says the file E:/burn/ABCDEFG.BRRip.XViD-ETRG/ABCDEFG.2017.720p.BRRip.HEVC750MB.MkvCage.srt can't be found. Maybe you moved the movie to a different folder but smplayer tries to load the subtitles from its previous location.
Select "unload" in the subtitles menu, so that it forgets that file.
