SMPlayer cannot open more than 720p

Hi,

When "Auto or Youtube" is selected, the best resolution is only 720p, although 1080p is selected in "Playback quality".

When "mpv+youtube.dll" is selected in Preferences>Network, SMP cannot work with error message:
"Mplayer/mpv has finished unexpectedly. More info in the log" which I cannot find.

Also, "mpv" is selected, in Preferences>General>Multimedia engine and MS Visual C++ 2010 x64 - 10.0.30319 has been installed.

So, is there any way for SMP to open youtube URLs more than 720p, even 4k?

Note: The same happens on SMTube. Although "Preferred quality" is set to 1080p, video never exceeds 720p.

Thanks!
SMP version 18.9.0 (revision 9113) (64-bit) on Win10 Pro x64 v.1803

You need to select mpv+youtube-dl in preferences -> network, and select "mpv" as multimedia engine in preferences -> general. If that still doesn't work, reinstall SMPlayer. The installer will download and install the latest version of youtube-dl.

As I've stated, "mpv+youtube-dl in preferences -> network, and "mpv" as multimedia engine in preferences -> general" are already selected.
I've install/uninstall it twice using latest (today) installer, also installing portable version I see exactly the same behavior.

Thanks for reply!

Issue has been resolved by installing the proper (x86) Visual C++ 2010.

SMTube still does not exceed 720p when sending to another app like VLC etc.

Is it possible for SMTube to send videos with higher than 720p resolution to another app (not SMPlayer) like VLC or MPC etc.?

Note: In Settings "General>Preferred quality", setting to 1080p (mp4 or webm) does not change anything. Video still opens at 720p in other player (VLC).
