Hey there, any reason why movies in 4k play in slow motion? Audio is ok, but soon enough it will start to d-sync more and more.
Tried many settings and none worked.

Could you send the mpv/mplayer log after playing a video? (Menu View).

Try enabling hardware decoding in preferences -> performance. You can also try increasing the threads for decoding. And you can also try using mpv as multimedia engine in preferences -> general.

Hi, thanks for the suggestions, sadly the hardware decoding only helps a little, and i still get the occasional frame drop, no matter how many threads i set into it.
AS for the mpv engine, as soon as i hit apply, the player just closes and stays that way, i think it was supposed to re-open yes?
EDIT: reinstalled the player and managed to set to the mpv engine, no change.
VLC plays without a hitch so it can't be my pc.

That's weird. Did you also change the threads for decoding?

Yes. The even weirder thing is that i tried 4 other players, no issue. Reinstalled smplayer and deleted all configuration files betweeen instals, installed 32 and 64 bit version, still lags.

Could you send the mpv log when using mpv as multimedia engine, gpu as video output and hardware decoding enabled?
