I'm using Handbrake to compress video files from action cam. I've enclosed the settings. I can also send the log if that helps. Playback always slightly hesitates when seeking after compressing. Not before. Is there anything that I can change to make it flow smoothly? Thanks

Send the mpv log after seeking.

I've been having a problem with using my mouse wheel to seek. My guess it has something to do with this subject. I can go to interface, seeking and set mouse wheel jump to 1 or 2 or 3 seconds but it always jumps 10.Seeking method is "absolute seeking" but because of the above problem "precise seeking" is off. When I turn it back on I get the correct seek but every time I use the wheel or my arrow keys to move back or forth there a distinct pause. Is there any way around this? Thanks

Without precise seeking, the player jumps to the nearest key frame (in many video formats there is one every 10 seconds, that's why you can't jump to smaller amounts). Precise seeking fixes it, but it's slower.
You can try passing to mpv the option --hr-seek-framedrop=yes, according to the mpv manual this can make precise seeking faster.

That did help. Now it doesn't jump 10 seconds every time I move the scroll wheel. That's handy for sport events. Thanks
