Hi. I have recently installed Blue Collar Linux, based on Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS. Whenever I open a file in SMplayer 18.10, whether from the menu or the file manager, it sops with an exit code 1. The log is listed below:
.
/usr/bin/mplayer -noquiet -slave -identify -nofs -lavdopts threads=2 -sub-fuzziness 1 -ao pulse, -framedrop -nodr -double -stop-xscreensaver -nomouseinput -input nodefault-bindings:conf=/dev/null -nokeepaspect -wid 83886156 -monitorpixelaspect 1 -osdlevel 0 -subfont-osd-scale 3 -progbar-align 80 -ass -embeddedfonts -ass-line-spacing 0 -ass-font-scale 1 -ass-styles /home/herman/.config/smplayer/styles.ass -subcp ISO-8859-1 -slang eng -subpos 100 -volume 50 -idx -vf-add screenshot -noslices -af-add scaletempo -softvol -softvol-max 110 /home/herman/Music videos/ABBA - The Day Before You Came.mp4

Unknown option on the command line: --progbar-align
Error parsing option on the command line: -progbar-align
MPlayer2 2.0-701-gd4c5b7f-2ubuntu2 (C) 2000-2012 MPlayer Team

I had a look at the config files in .config/smplayer (as listed in the log) but cannot find any reference to progbar-align. No amount of re-installing could fix the problem.

Or in newer versions of smplayer, go to preferences -> advanced and set the OSD bar to -1.
