MPV Options - OSD

Hi, I've tried to set a very short time for the OSD. The OSD seek bar is doing what I'm asking, yet the OSD *messages* (such as Contrast, A/V delay, speed etc) do not adhere to the set limit. From the MPV options list I used the following:

"--osd-duration=<time> Set the duration of the OSD messages in ms (default: 1000)"

My full input is --osd-color=#555555 --osd-on-seek=bar --osd-border-size=1 --osd-bar-w=40 --osd-bar-align-x=0 --osd-bar-h=1 --osd-duration=200
I've included my entire input line in case something is causing a conflict.
So, what am I missing here? The input command doesn't refer only to a seek bar, but specifically mentions Messages.
I just want the messages to display for 200ms, but they display for approx 3 secs.

Same issue here, but it seem that the OSD duration is out of control only when SMPlayer is maximized.
