Can't permanently change the step level for brightness etc.

Postby Rayman1 » Sun May 19, 2019 8:07 pm

I changed min_step to min_step=1 in smplayer.ini to get steps of 1 when altering brightness etc. This seemed to work but when I tried it again on another video it had reverted to 3 steps. I checked that min_step was still =1 and it is. How do I make the change permanent?

Oh, I also changed min_step to =10 to see what would happen and it still steps by three?

Be sure you modify smplayer.ini when smplayer is not running, otherwise it will be overwritten by smplayer.

Ok I see what's happening now. I use CTRL E to get the Video Equaliser window up and then use my mouse wheel to adjust by hovering over the relevant slider. That always steps by three, but if I use the arrow keys it does step by one as required. Is there a way to get it to also step by 1 when using the mouse wheel as I prefer that way of adjustment?

I think it's not possible.
