Keyboard controls stop working

Hello there,

I encounter a strange problem:

And this occurs only when playing audio files. (With video files all works well.)

When playing an audio file, initially the keyboard controls are working fine. But when I open and close some other window ... and SMplayer is the active window again ... the keyboard controls aren't working anymore. I have to close the player and open the file anew to get the keyboard controls to work again.

Is this a bug?

PS: I'm running Linux Mint 18.3 KDE.

Beforehand: Minimizing the player to tray and bringing it back up is enough to trigger the bug here.

Trying to find out, how it can be working for you, I discovered one case, where it is also working here:

If the player is still open and has been playing a video in full-screen(!) before ... if I then play the mp3 ... then the keyboard controls do work no matter what.

Having the player in full-screen-mode only once, blocks the bug for as long as the player is open after this ... no matter how many mp3's are being played.

Can you replicate this now?

I got a new insight!

The bug only occurs if the option is ticked: "Hide movie window when only audio is played" ... otherwise the not.

Can you reproduce it now?

No, I'm afraid I can't reproduce it in my system.
