Some videos won't resize, & SMP b/g shows other programs

Hi,

I'm running SMP 19.5.0 on MX Linux x64. I must have changed a setting, but can't find where. Some videos, such as an .mp4 I'm looking at now, don't change size when I enlarge the SMP window. Also, instead of an all-black background, it shows the screen print of the desktop programs in the background. They don't change when I drag the SMP window around, so it's not a transparent border, per se.

Is there something I can do to get this normal again?

I think I found the answer. I enabled Software Scaling under the Video menu and it looks good now.
