jump to keyframe fwds and backwards how ?

Hi,
I also need SMPlayer to jump fwd and backwards to Keyframes, which often hold a better image for stills capture, other players can do this, so how is it done?
Also arrow keys take me 10secs fwd or backwards, far too much. How do I set up those keys for 1 second ?

I had hoped for scrubbing by dragging the timeline slider, is that possible. VLC does it. (but cant step by step backwards)

good news is SMPlayer can make a 4k still as png and same quality as original frame, matching that from VLC, BSplayer fails and makes HD, PowerDirector £77 editor fails also.

just need keyframe jumping enabled. and scrubbing and SMplayer is IT... the one to use.

Cheers

DBenz

You can change the time in preferences -> seeking.
If "precise seeking" is not enabled then it jumps to key frames.

How to initiate the seek? I added a shortcut to enable frame_step and frame_step_back, but they move by single frames. Cursor left and right jumps by 10 seconds. What is the key combination to jump to the next keyframe?

Set a lower time for left and right and disable precise seeking.

THANKS! I set the short jump to :01 and it seems to work. It doesn't precisely match the timecode displayed by avidemux down to the millisecond, but I assume that's probably just an issue with the displays for the different apps.

Incidentally, the only real reason I need this is to correctly specify splits in MKVToolnix. It would be so much easier if that app provided a GUI that performed this action. But I have now found a new player that I'll continue to use from here on out. Thanks again.
