SMPlayer Support Forum

I just run SMPlayer portable on win7.
Playing a DVD I load an srt-file with subtitles (I used often in linux and also winXP 10 years ago), but no subtitle is shown, although I set subtitles visibility on.
Any hints?

Well, I tried very often, different options, 32 and 64 bit...

Only once, there appeared the subtitles, but then they disappeared again.

(I cannot test smplayer 19.10.0.0 in win7 at the moment, because now I work on a linux-system, where it works very well with smplayer 0.8.5.)

In the subtitles-menu there are two entries, I think the upper first two, where always appered something like
1 -

And the only time, I saw the subtitles, there appeared
1 -
2 my-subtitles.srt
or something like that.

Maybe, at the DVD, there is an empty subtitle-track? But why doesn't work the loaded srt-file?

I'll look for log tomorrow at the win7 or win10 machines, where I need to run that film with these subtitles.

For the moment, my admin *installed* me smplayer 0.6.9 win32 and it works fine.

Is there an older *portable*-version somewhere for download?
