SMPlayer force closing

Hi. I've had an issue where SMPlayer force closes when I either try to check for updates or search for subtitles online. I've had this for the latest few version and the last 19.10 x64. Uninstalled and cleared all files and folders and registry options followed by a clean install. Still having the issue. Any ideas?

System is Windows 10 Enterprise v1909
