Hello,

SMPlayer does play the following stream on Windows, but not on Linux:

https://streaming-ondemand.rtp.pt/nas2. ... .m3u8:1024

Can I do something about it? Thanks in advance.

SMPlayer 20.4.2 (revision 9306)
Lubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa)

Thanks for your reply, rvm!
Really? That's awesome.
Do you have any idea on what settings or packages I might be missing in order to play that stream?

I don't get any output from console with SMPlayer, but MPlayer returns this:

mplayer "https://streaming-ondemand.rtp.pt/nas2.share/h264/512x384/p1483/index.m3u8?tlm=hls&streams=VISITAGUIADA_20140303.mp4.m3u8:1024"
MPlayer 1.3.0 (Debian), built with gcc-9 (C) 2000-2016 MPlayer Team

The stream fails for me with mplayer as well, but it plays fine with mpv. So install mpv and select mpv as multimedia engine in preferences -> general.
