file list badly sized

Postby st100 » Thu Nov 12, 2020 9:09 pm

smplayer Version: 20.6.0 (revision 9418)
Manjaro xfce stable

Initial window opens reasonably when smplayer launches. But when I go to OPEN/File this window that opens is much wider than my monitor screen, and will not resize horizontally. Strangely, I can resize it vertically.
I want this window to open within the monitor screen and be resizable in width.

Ideas? If not, how do I report a bug/annoyance?

Thank you.

The look of the file dialog is out of my control because that dialog is provided by the Qt library, but you can try to turn on/off the option "use the system native file dialog" in preferences -> interface, that will display a different dialog.

Thank you rvm. Turning "use the system native file dialog" to on fixed the problem.

I appreciate your help. That was not intuitive to me, and if it is in a manual sorry I missed it.

There are great materials online for use of the player, but I am new to this and did not yet find anything more technical, e.g about how the player actually works. Suggest any?

Cheers, and thanks for your time to help.
