.avi-files: forward-function not working?

i have several .avi-files (size between 100 mb and 1,7gb, and only with the one, very large (1,7gb) one the forward/+10 seconds/-1 minute...) works. the files themselves have all been filmed with the same camera, no further processing has been done on them.

OS: WinXPSP3
SMPlayer-version: 0.6.9

maybe just a user's fault? or is this just a bug?

Or maybe a bug in mplayer.

I can't say more without more info (like the mplayer log).

Perhaps the camera isn't generating the correct index for the file. Can other players such as VLC seek properly? Maybe you could also set SMPlayer to generate the index file as needed.
