SMPlayer Support Forum

I have some .hdmov files that I download with "Quicktime Lite" and SMPlayer can play them just fine but I am trying to make SMPlayer always the media player of choice for these files and I am having a issue doing this. I am right clicking on the .hdmov file and selecting Open With then I browse for the SMPlayer exe and select open. But when I do this SMPlayer will not open. So the only way I can play .hdmov files is to open SMPlayer and then from the interface click open then file.

I want to make SMPlayer the default player for .hdmov files.

Can you add .hdmov to the "file types" list please?
