This is not the place, but...
Anyone knows about a mplayer build for windows newer than r31170?, I have the feeling that no one(only mplayer users count
) care about webm in windows.
Thanks in advance.

While schlepping bout the web last week researching how to get decoding and encoding working for the linux versions of ffmpeg and mplayer, I noticed that a prelease of VLC 1.1 supported playback, at least, but then for some reason it was pulled. May be back up by now.
Dcoding was added to mplayer around May 31, and encoding appeared on June 4, perhaps the Win builders were just waiting for the encoding. Though I've only tested it with ffmpeg: vp8 video, vorbis audio in a .mkv container. . Encoding is fairly slow, but does produce nice-looking video. Mplayer and ffmpeg rely on an external library in Linux, libvpx, to do the work, which I also rebuilt for Debian Stable.

Sherpya Mplayer (SVN-r31372) windows build is out, added support for new Webm format (vp8/vorbis).
There are builds for:
AMD Single Core
AMD Multi Core (X2/X3/X4/Phenom)
Intel Pentium3
Intel Pentium 4 or better Single Core
Intel Pentium 4 or better Multi Core (core2/xeon/etc)
Generic 486 or better

Are those ffmpeg-mt r31372 builds actually ffmpeg-mt builds?
It shows differently in the log:
MPlayer Sherpya-MT-SVN-r31170-4.2.5
vs
MPlayer SVN-r31372-4.2.5
I'm pretty sure I have the right MPlayer for AMD multicore, and it can be seen that the -lavdopts threads above 1 has no effect.

It's set to 2 threads yet it isn't using them. Some videos aren't playing very well with r31372 AMD MT but are playing fine with r31170 AMD MT.

I have OK playback in r31372 without SMPlayer and excellent when -lavdopts threads=2 (running from command-line). It doesn't play well embedded in SMPlayer for some reason though r31170 works fine embedded. SMPlayer is passing lavdopts option correctly. Video driver doesn't make a difference.
Guess I'll sticking to r31170.

I downloaded AMD MT r31372 and it work fine too, it use 5~10% more cpu than P4 MT(Intel cpu here) testing same video sample ().
Same result with H.264 1080p samples.
Anyway aside of vp8 I don´t see any differences between r31170 and r31372 so...
