Under Options - Preferences - Performance - Threads for decoding (MPEG-1/2 and H.264 only)....the default is 1 and I've a Quart Q6600 CPU, do I set/change from 1 to 4 or leave it alone at 1?
Thanks.
P/s the latest r3615 is very very smooth, great job!

You need a multi threaded version of MPlayer to be able to use that option. I would recommend setting the number of threads to 2 or 4 with your current setup.

I recommend you to try for multithreading support. You can change the MPlayer binary in the preferences.

I included a multithreaded build in that installer. Multithreaded ffmpeg support had been merged into MPlayer for a while now.

Yes, it's built-in now.

The MPlayer binary can be changed here:
"Preferences > General > MPlayer executable"
If redxii already compiled multithreaded support into the windows version of MPlayer there is no real need to change the binary. Although MPlayer2 has some features MPlayer doesn't have (like support for precise seeks).
