I am having problem with SMPlayer 0.69 and newest svn mplayer.

Any chance you could pull a patch for this issue? Basically what I'm seeing: mplayer have dropped support for -stop-xscreensaver, and because smplayer passes this to mplayer, playback fails.

Uncheck the option "Disable screensaver" in preferences -> video.

That didn't fix my similar problem. I'm using the versions of smplayer 0.6.9 and mplayer 1.0rc4-4.4.5 from medibuntu's repo on kubuntu 10.10. Mplayer alone and kmplayer work fine.

The most concerning lines from the smplayer log to me are:

[15:17:01:550] Core::startMplayer: * not using -colorkey for xv
[15:17:01:551] Core::startMplayer: * report if you can't see the video

it also seems to be concerned with:

[15:17:02:275] MplayerVersion::isMplayerAtLeast: comparing 25391 with 29073
[15:17:02:275] MplayerVersion::isMplayerAtLeast: no parsed version, using user supplied version

which is in there like 30 times also mabye:

[15:17:01:452] warning: monitor_aspect couldn't be parsed!
[15:17:01:452] monitor_aspect set to 0

if anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated. I'll keep mashing away at it and post if I come up with something. I attached this log aswell.

I realised it shortly after I posted by running xvinfo. It does work with the X11 vo. I had video problems after the upgrade where I had to reinstall my flglx driver so it probably has something to do with that. Just got home from work so I'll tinker with it a bit.

Thanks agian and thanks for smplayer and the ubuntu ppa btw. I've been using them for a while now and consider them indispensable.
