no video playback playing mkv

Im trying to play MKV movies that are h.264 using the coreavc codec, the problem is there is no video playback, there is only audio.

Is there a solution for this problem?

I have another question, there is options for Threads for decoding MPEG-1/2, H.264 from 1 through 8 what does this mean, will movies play faster if i choose 8?[youtube][/youtube]
