OK. I think this issue has solved itself.
As I today updated to the newer version and it works again with the defaul avi demuxer.
However, the time position when I resume is sometimes "wrong". It is first at the correct position but then it is set to 0:00. However, if I use the arrow keys to jump 10 seconds back I am at the correct time position...

Hmmm...though the recent mplayer fixed the demuxer problems, I found out that the mencoder package it also produced caused DeVeDe to only create movie ISOs that were 25 min and 27 seconds long. Luckily, an older mencoder can coexist with a newer mplayer, so just disabled the mencoder package build when doing the newer mplayer package for the Mepislovers community repository.

Hello,
i tried to play a wmv video on windows. then i quitted smplayer during the video playing in the middle of the timeline. i reopened the same video but it played from the beginning, not from the time i left it. in preferences, i didn't change the settings. it works with my other video files.
i think that the video doesn't need to be rebuilt.
because it was the first video i opened with smplayer, i thought it would do the same with every video. thankfully not.

Maybe that video had a problem with the index.
