How to handle m3u-Playlist?

Hi there,
I really like the smplayer and the best is, it's getting better and better. Thanx for this wonderful tool
But at the moment I am struggling with radio stations only providing play lists and not directly mp3 or ogg streams.
If I place an address with an direct stream under "Open/Radio" in the TV/Radio list everything works as expected. But addresses providing just a play list (ending on m3u) nothing happens if I try to open such a station. Hmm. If I use the same address directly under "Open/URL" there is an option "It's a play list", and then it's working.
Does anyone know how to get play lists working under "Radio"?
On the command line I can use the option "-playlist" as prefix, but this doesn't work in the radio list.
Thanx
Tom
