Proportional To Movie Diagonal

SMPlayer is a great peace of software rvm. I hope you'll develop it for many more years.

I have a question. Since I'm kinda noob I need help. To me it's annoying that subtitle font size depends on quality of a video. So I tried to fix that with "-subfont-autoscale 3" (proportional to movie diagonal). The problem is that with ASS/SSA subtitles it only applies to OSD but not to subtitle font. Is that even doable? What am I doing wrong? Is it possible somehow to maintain font size regardless of video quality? My OS is Windows XP.

Thanks in advance and keep up the good work!

I do not understand why you do not use the option to apply your sub/font style to ALL subs (including the ASS inside mkv containers).

The option you mentioned is for "normal subtitles" enabled not for ASS/SSA - please see the documentation here: http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/s ... _subtitles

The solution goes like this:

1. Click on Enable SSA / ASS subs (not the "normal subs")

2. Default scale: 1 (what you set is what you get)

3. Choose any other styling options you like

4. Tick to enable "Apply style to ass files too".

Done.

With this you have your styling applied every time and do not have to play with scaling anymore.

Cheers and good luck.
