Brand New Install: SMPlayer ONLY Crashes!

Hi All,

Just freshly installed SMPlayer on my girlfriend's brand new laptop.

No matter what file I load, it only crashes. AVIs, MP4s and MKVs have all met the same fate 100% of the time.

Any ideas? Here is the log from the crash dialogue box:

Can anyone extract any clues from that?

No error dialogs at all?

The log didn't indicate anything other than the video didn't start playing.

Try a different video driver in the settings.

If there was some error with MPlayer it'd usually show in the log and SMPlayer will display a dialog saying it crashed with an exit code, or perhaps one from Windows if it were more serious.

MPlayer creates a font cache on the first run and it looks like nothing is happening, if it's interrupted it will crash.
