Videos audio plays couple secs_ but sound level is off
Posted: Sat Aug 04, 2012 3:46 amUsing SMP 0.8 & Mplayer2 in Vista. 1st, is there a preference anywhere that specifies sound to be muted (or at given vol - 0%, 50%...) at startup?
Usually, I leave the vol slider off & though I don't have "remember settings for each file" checked, the slider is always at 0 when new files start playing. But w/ many vids, sound plays from say, .25 - 1.0 sec, then silent. If the volume slider is all way to left (0) - & it is - I checked many times, what causes sound to play at fairly high vol, for a sec or less?
Happens on a lot of files - but not all - so can't just be slightly corrupted file. Now, if audio sync was off on most files, that might have something to do w/ it. Don't think that's the case. 1) Sound only starts when video actually starts. 2) When I turn vol up, voices seem to be in sync.
