Subtitles not always displayed

I have some movies with seperate srt files, but there are some that seem to picked up by SM player, but they do not display, other movies work fine.
Using Win 7 and sm latest 8.3, just had all drivers updated and confirmed latest for my laptop.
The problem files work fine using VLC, I have the srt file available for you to look at if you want it sent.
