MTS format problems

Hi,

I'm using SMPlayer to play mkv format movies - no problem there. I also tried playing 1080p mts format videos shot with an Olympus PEN camera. All movies are on a NAS device connected to the desktop via a Gigabit connection / switch. All formats play well except the mts format videos which are 'jerky' to the extent that they're unwatchable. Interestingly if I play the same mts videos with Zoner Photor Studio which uses SMPlayer as a 'plugin', the videos play fine. They also play fine using WMP and Videolan (which I'm trying to replace with SMPlayer).

Any ideas as to what the problem could be?

Did you try to increase the cache?

Preferences -> Performance -> Cache. I would try to increase the cache for streams to 8000 or more. You can also try to disable the option "allow frame drop" as that can cause corruption in the image.

If your processor has multiple cores, try to increase the "threads for decoding".
