Screensaver Not Disabled Win 7 x64 SMPlayer 0.8.3 Portable

Hello, and thank you in advance for any help. When using the portable version of SMPlayer 0.8.3 on a Lenovo ThinkPad T430 23445GU running Windows 7 x64 it's seemingly not possible to disable the screensaver. Going to Options/Preferences/General/Video/Screensaver I've tried all 4 possible combinations (none ticked, one ticked, other one ticked, both ticked), closing then reopening SMPlayer after applying the changes, but the screensaver still engages per my Windows setting. This is also the case with portable version 0,8,2 and on my old HP Pavilion dv4 2040us also running Windows 7 x64. I've Googled for a solution but to no avail. Any ideas or suggestions? Perhaps a Windows version of LightsOn or Caffeine? Thanks again for any help.

Unfortunately I could only test the screensaver code on windows xp and vista. I'll try to fix it.

I tested on a Win 7 desktop and it disabled the screensaver. I had a problem with it before on a laptop, for some reason smplayer couldn't disable the screensaver when the trackpad software was installed, but that got fixed.
