How do I enable the skinable GUI?

Posted: Sun May 12, 2013 11:51 pmI have now created a Gentoo ebuild for the skins. I've put it in the "multimedia" overlay (http://gitorious.org/gentoo-multimedia). I also modified the smplayer live ebuild there to install the skins ("skins" USE flag, it's enabled by default.)
I will also submit this to portage and hopefully it will be included soon, so that all users will get the skinable GUI.

Posted: Mon May 13, 2013 10:08 pmIt seems the xmlrpc interface for opensubtitles allows to download the subtitles already uncompressed, so probably I will be able to get rid of the quazip dependency.
