After updating to mplayer2 version cannot play a single file

Hello,
Problem is in subject - player rejects any file after updating to "experimental" mplayer2 version.
Worked ok while was 0.8.4 SMplayer. Updated to 0.8.5 - became worse, slower, with lags. Updated to mplaer2 - no files play at all. Great updates...
I get error "1" when I try to play video file. However, in description there's nothing at all, blank window. How can I fix this, and what is this trick actually...
I didn't erase my old SMPlayer on installation of new one, choose to "update" both times (0.8.5 + 0.8.5 mplayer2). With mplayer2 version, I also changed the path to "mplayer2" file (it was "mplayer", like in old versions)

Bah! Magic. The video works! All files. But I swear I didn't do anything to fix the situation, just left the idle PC for hour or so. And now I thought I'll make a report - and suddenly all of them work.
But after installation (and reboot!!) all of them hanged with black screen and error! Mysterious... Maybe SM player needs some time to build a database, or something like that?
Anyway. Looks like my bother was in vain, sorry to take attention. Guess the thread can be closed now..
Wish all the PC problems could be fixed like that
