recordings made with satellite receiver

I am using my M7 sat801 satellite receiver to record TV. To save time, I would like to watch them on the train using my laptop.
I have been told that SMPlayer is able to play my recordings, but I can't get it to work...

My OS is Windows 7 and I have downloaded and installed SMPlayer (Windows 32 bit) version: 0.8.5

In attachement, there is a 2 seconds recording I made (compressed in RAR format).
When I place the (decompressed) folder on a USB-stick and plug it into the receiver, it will play just fine.
But on my laptop, I can't get it to work

Anyone any suggestions ?

I'm afraid it seems mplayer doesn't support this kind of data.
