System tray on Linux

With "Options→Show Icon in System Tray" checked I get the following behaviour:

1. Double click a video file in file browser → starts up smplayer and plays video in a new window

2. When I'm done watching, I close the smplayer window, as expected it stops the video and disappears, leaving the icon in the system tray

3. Double click a video file in file browser → starts up smplayer and plays video, but there is no window being displayed, just the audio playing.

The system tray icon's "Restore" menu item displays the window, but it is counter-intuitive that double clicking on the file in file browser doesn't do this for me. It's too confusing for other users here.

Any suggestions as to what I should try before logging a bug?

Thanks,
Jonathan

I think this is fixed in svn r5495.

Thank you rvm. I can't check it until it hits a ppa sometime, but the code looks logical in svn :)
