Seek frame in Linux and SMPlayer

Hi,
Does is/will be possible do seeks to frames instead nor to 1sec now/sometimes?
I do using Ubuntu 12.04 + SMPlayer2 v.0.85 + mplayer2 v.2.1 + libavcodec v.53.35.0

It's called frame_step. I have dot assigned for it but I'm not sure if it's by default.

Yes, I do known it. This is feature of mplayer that hasn't back-seek.
I do using therefore mplayer2 its developers do announce precise seek. The feature is and in SMPlayer if uses mplayer2 but I don't thing that work it.
Probably it isn't in libav packages implemented or is it bugged.

Try different video/audio output. For me, frame_step don't work with pulse or alsa, but works great with sdl. Of course, mplayer2 is essential.

Edit:
I checked it again and it currently works just as well with pulse/alsa.
