When I open certain FLV files, all it does is scan system fonts and doesn't play the file. I know the files are ok because I can play them in other programs. Any ideas? thanks

The font scan should be done once (or maybe after a font is added or removed from the system). I know the scan is annoying but it's a mplayer thing and I can't remove it.

If the scan happens every time you try to play a file, that's not normal.

Thanks! I've never actually let it finish scanning, so maybe that's the problem.
