Is it possible for msplayer to play in windowed mode, without any border or edges?

Windows or Linux? I'm sure it's quite easy on Linux with bare mplayer/mplayer2/mpv (at least in KDE). The same is for SMPlayer if you set it to run mplayer in it's own window.

Edit:
I have just checked it out on Enlightenment E17 and it's as easy, as in KDE. I'm not sure about other desktop environments/window managers.

The closest you'll get in Windows is compact mode (Ctrl C) which still shows the window border with the minimize/maximize/close buttons. That is what is usually referred to as 'windowed mode'.
